About Dr. McKindsey, MD

Dr. McKindsey is a gynecologist and obstetrician who for over 20 years has been caring for women of all ages and all stages of life here in Torrance and the South Bay.

She is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and is a Fellow of the American College of Ob/Gyn. Dr. McKindsey’s practice is dedicated to offering comforting and quality heath care to all of her patients.

Dr. McKindsey grew up in San Diego and completed her Bachelor of Arts degree at the University of California, San Diego. She earned her medical degree from Howard University College of Medicine, graduating with honors and was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honors Society. She then completed her residency training at Harbor/UCLA Medical Center, serving as Administrative Chief.

She was also awarded by The American Society of Gynecologic Laparoscopists for “Special Excellence in Endoscopic Procedures”, and has belonged to many professional groups and societies. She has served as the first female Department Chair in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Torrance Memorial Medical Center.

Dr. McKindsey is a lover of traveling, spending time outdoors, and good food and wine. She enjoys dedicating her time to the SGI, a Buddhist lay organization based on the respect for the dignity of life, a value that she brings to her practice. She does her best to employ that value into every aspect of her life, as well as the integrative and balanced approach to medicine that she shares with all of her patients.

Finding where to receive both gynecological and obstetrical care is a personal and sometimes difficult task for patients. Dr. McKindsey is dedicated to taking the stress out of women’s health care.
