Dr. McKindsey is a board-certified ob-gyn. Working out of Torrance Memorial Medical Center, she offers both gynecologic and obstetrical services for women in the South Bay. Yearly Exams
An annual gynecologic visit focuses on preemptive health care. A yearly exam can vary depending on your age and individual needs. An annual visit may include a pelvic exam, pap test, or screening tests for conditions like cervical cancer. A yearly exam is also the perfect time to ask Dr. McKindsey general questions about reproductive health, or any other personal concerns you may have.
Heavy and Abnormal Bleeding
There are many reasons why heavy and abnormal bleeding may occur. Dr. McKindsey can help find underlying causes, such as fibroids or endometriosis, and work towards a treatment plan.
Fibroids, Ovarian Cysts & Benign Gyn Tumors
Fibroids are non-cancerous growths in the uterus that may cause discomfort. Ovarian cysts are uncomfortable pockets that may develop in the ovaries. Benign gyn tumors are non-cancerous and typically slow growing.
Dr. McKindsey can screen, detect, and create a treatment plan for all three.
Menopause Management
Dr. McKindsey can help with the transition through menopause, help create a healthy post-menopause plan, and come up with treatment plans for any menopausal symptoms that may be affecting your daily life.
Abnormal Pap Smear &
HPV Management and Treatment
HPVs are a group of viruses that can sometimes cause cases of cervical and other forms of cancer. A Pap Smear is used to detect precancers. In the case of receiving an abnormal pap smear, Dr. McKindsey can provide follow-up steps based on your specific test result
Contraception/Birth Control and Sterilization
Today, there are many forms of birth control, from birth control pills, IUDs, and forms of permanent contraception. Dr. McKindsey will walk you through the options, answer all of your questions, and can help you find the perfect form of contraception for your individual lifestyle

Laparoscopic & da Vinci Robotic Surgery (Minimally Invasive Surgery)
A laparoscopy is a low-risk, minimally invasive surgery that can be used to further examine the reproductive system. Da Vinci Robotic Surgery uses a robotic system to assist in minimally invasive surgery. If necessary, Dr. McKindsey can perform these minimally invasive procedures
Hysteroscopy
During a hysteroscopy, Dr. McKindsey will examine the inside of the cervix and uterus. Hysteroscopies help take tissue samples or facilitate removals of things like fibroids.
Fibroid Surgery
Fibroids are non-cancerous growths in the uterus that may cause discomfort or other problems. A patient may decide to have a myomectomy, which is a procedure that removes fibroids. Dr. McKindsey will walk you through the options, answer all of your questions, and can perform fibroid surgery
Pelvic Organ Prolapse & Urinary Incontinence
Pelvic Organ Prolapse and Urinary Incontinence involve the weakening of the muscles that support the pelvic organs. Dr. McKindsey can help diagnose and walk you through potential treatment options for both Pelvic Organ Prolapse and Urinary Incontinence.
Ovarian Cysts
An Ovarian Cyst is a solid or fluid-filled pocket that may develop on an ovary. An ovarian cyst may case menstrual irregularities or discomfort. Dr. McKindsey can help detect and discuss potential treatment options for Ovarian Cysts.
Colposcopy, Cryosurgery & LEEP Procedures
A colposcopy is a procedure performed to search and detect abnormal cells in the cervix. Both Cryosurgery & LEEP Procedures are treatments used to remove abnormal cells from the cervix.

Our office offers comprehensive prenatal care for both Normal and High Risk Pregnancies. Dr. McKindsey understands how important a comforting and honest environment is when it comes to prenatal care. Non-Invasive Prenatal Screening
A Non-Invasive Prenatal Screening is a simple and safe test performed to screen a baby’s DNA to detect the risk of certain conditions or genetic abnormalities. If you are curious about Non-Invasive Prenatal Screening, Dr. McKindsey can help answer any questions and schedule an appointment.
Cerclage Placement
During pregnancy, a condition called cervical insufficiency may increase the risk of a miscarriage. Dr. McKindsey can treat this condition by performing a Cerclage Placement, which can hold the cervix closed, allowing your pregnancy to be full-term. Dr. McKindsey can help decide if a Cerclage Placement is necessary and answer any questions you may have.
